Support the lives of residents as a Recreation Therapy Assistant with Sienna Senior Living in Bradford, Ontario. Your focus on therapeutic recreation will enhance community engagement and well-being.
This essential role requires you to deliver recreation and leisure activities tailored to residents' interests and needs in a Long Term Care environment. You will collaborate on individual care plans and develop engaging activity calendars, ensuring vibrant community life. Your contributions will foster human connection and support residents' skills.
Key Responsibilities:
• Facilitate recreation and leisure activities for residents
• Contribute to individual care plans and updates
• Develop activity calendars based on resident preferences
• Identify sharing opportunities for residents' skills
• Establish and track therapeutic recreation goals
Requirements:
• Diploma/degree in Recreation/Leisure studies
• 2+ years experience in Long Term Care
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Knowledge of dementia needs and programming
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings
