NHS Tayside is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to enhance patient care across Angus Hospital and nearby health facilities. This full-time, leadership role emphasizes effective medicines management and team development.
Join NHS Tayside Pharmacy Services as you deliver person-centred care at Arbroath Infirmary and Whitehills Health & Community Care Centre. As a registered pharmacy technician with GPhC, your expertise will support multidisciplinary teams in ensuring safe admissions and timely discharges. You will lead a small team of technicians while contributing to service improvement initiatives, fostering a respectful and high-performing workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide direct patient care across various inpatient services
• Lead and develop a team of pharmacy technicians
• Implement standard operating procedures and workforce planning
• Contribute to key quality and patient safety indicators
• Support training, competency assessment, and staff supervision
Requirements:
• GPhC registration as a Pharmacy Technician
• Recognized Accuracy Checking qualification
• HNC in Pharmacy Services and Management (or equivalent)
• Willingness to support trainee pharmacists towards qualifications
• Strong communication and leadership skills
