Position: Central Registration Clerk at Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare

Join Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare as a Central Registration and Scheduling Clerk. This role involves patient interaction and utilizing healthcare software to manage appointments and inquiries.

In a critical front-line position, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors in our multi-site hospital system. Essential skills include strong organizational abilities, customer service expertise, and proficiency with healthcare technology. You will manage calls, register patients, and ensure smooth appointment scheduling across both Huntsville District Memorial and South Muskoka Memorial locations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Answer incoming calls and direct inquiries appropriately

• Greet patients and guide them through hospital services

• Register patients efficiently for appointments

• Schedule appointments and collect necessary patient data

• Notify patients and physicians of scheduling changes

Requirements:

• Certificate in Office Administration or equivalent

• Medical Terminology course completion

• Significant clerical experience in healthcare setting

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to manage high-pressure situations efficiently
