In this pivotal role, you will use your lived experience to foster connections and facilitate access to care for those confronting the realities of HIV and hepatitis
C. Your engaging approach will promote awareness, reduce stigma, and empower clients to navigate their health journeys effectively. This role thrives within a multidisciplinary team promoting justice-informed and harm reduction approaches.
Key Responsibilities:
• Offer one-on-one peer support in inclusive environments
• Build meaningful relationships with clients
• Assist with referrals to community and health services
• Participate in outreach programming and pop-up clinics
• Educate on HIV/HCV awareness and stigma reduction
Requirements:
• Personal experience related to HIV/HCV fields
• Knowledge of harm reduction practices
• Strong communication and community engagement skills
• Comfort in diverse service settings
• Basic IT skills for tracking engagements and data
