Dietitian​/Diabetes Educator at NorWest Health Centres

Become a vital part of Nor West Community Health Centres as a Registered Dietitian/Certified Diabetes Educator in Thunder Bay, Ontario. This role emphasizes diabetes management, prevention, and community engagement.

As part of an interdisciplinary team, you will play a key role in executing diabetes prevention and education programs. This position requires direct, in-person interaction with clients to foster self-management skills and improve overall health outcomes. Experience in chronic disease education is essential as you work collaboratively to address community health challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist individuals and groups in managing diabetes effectively

• Provide education on self-management techniques

• Create and assess community health programs

• Collaborate with health professionals to enhance client care

• Meet the diverse needs of clients facing barriers to health

Requirements:

• Active certification as a Registered Dietitian or CDE

• Experience with diabetes and chronic illness

• Outstanding communication and facilitation skills

• Familiarity with electronic health records and Microsoft Office

• Availability to work flexible hours when needed
