In this part-time role, you'll support the supervising physiotherapist in delivering effective therapies within residential care communities. Your responsibilities will include facilitating treatment sessions, setting up equipment, and ensuring safety in gym and treatment areas. You will record treatment outcomes in our web-based system while maintaining regular communication about residents' statuses.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in executing treatment plans with the physiotherapist
• Perform gait, balance, and strengthening exercises for residents
• Conduct safe and engaging therapeutic exercise classes
• Manage equipment setup and cleanliness post-treatments
• Document daily treatments accurately in the system
Requirements:
• PTA/OTA diploma or degree in Kinesiology
• Previous LTC experience is an asset
• Valid Vulnerable Sector screening check
• Tuberculin clearance (2-Step Mantoux Test)
• Commitment to inclusive practices
