The Opportunity:

Weneed Personal Support Workers to join our Overflow team! You want to be part ofour team to support CGMH in maintaining capacity with the surge anticipated over the upcoming winter season.

In the role of PSW, youwill provide compassionate support with activities of daily living, while building trusting relationships & creating positive experience for those inyour care.

You will support the temporary extended care in our Medica/Surgical/Overflow areas and may be assigned to either of the units based on acuity.

Weinvest in our Team. As a Personal Support Worker, you will earn $31.886 - $32.521per hour.

Asthe successful applicant, you will do the following:

• Assist patient(s) with activities of daily living such as feeding, lifts and transfers,bathing, skin care, oral hygiene, and toileting
• Perform delegated tasks which have been delegated by an RHP in compliance with the RHPA forwhich transfer of functional training has been completed, such as insertion of a digit or instrument into a body cavity, care or procedure under the dermis and any task or skill needing a physician’sprescription
• Assistwithmedication and medication reminders in accordance withestablishedemployer or government policy
• Observe person(s) and their environments, and must report and document unsafe conditions and behavioral, physical, and / or cognitive changes toan appropriate supervisor
• Communicateanddemonstratebasic information to person(s) in relation to activities of daily living, mealplanningand preparation,in accordancewithpre-established Plan of Care
• Complete andmaintainrelatedrecords and documentation such as communication in Meditech in related progress notes or interventions
• Restock various areas such as patient rooms, PPE supplies & procedure carts
• Assist with patient transfer to other areas within the hospital

• PSW certification and/or partial completion of post-secondary nursing education
• Previous experience in a fast-paced, rapidly changing atmosphere
• Current CPR certification

• Experience with Meditech Expanse
