Plan meaningful recreation activities as a Life Enrichment Aide at Muskoka Landing in Huntsville, Ontario, supporting resident interests, abilities, and well-being.
Jarlette Health Services seeks a permanent part-time Life Enrichment Aide for its fully accredited long-term care home. Reporting to the Life Enrichment Coordinator, you will schedule activities across days, evenings, and weekends. The work includes resident and family communication, care plan contributions, and quality improvement initiatives. You will help promote resident independence while applying current activity programming practices.
Key Responsibilities:- Implement recreation and social activity schedules
- Assess resident interests and abilities
- Incorporate resident and family input
- Contribute to resident care plans
- Maintain communication with families and interdisciplinary teams
- Related recreation, leisure, kinesiology, or gerontology education
- Relevant recreational or social programming experience
- Geriatric rehabilitation or long-term care experience is an asset
- Active interest in ongoing education
- Computer literacy, flexibility, innovation, and creativity
