This Regulated Pharmacy Technician assists with prescription technical functions and pharmacy services. The work includes prescription data entry, medication selection, third party adjudication, and customer support. It also requires maintaining pharmacy operations according to Standards of Practice while referring clinical inquiries to pharmacists.
Key Responsibilities:
Gather prescription information according to established Standards
Dispense medications accurately and maintain prescription workflow
Enter prescriptions and process refill requests
Count, measure, package, and label prescriptions
Refer clinical inquiries and counseling requests to pharmacists
Requirements:
Registration with the corresponding provincial licensing college
Diploma from a Pharmacy Technician College
Previous pharmacy experience preferred
Strong organizational and multitasking skills
Problem-solving ability and attention to detail
Use prescription workflow, pharmacy systems, and customer service skills to support accurate dispensing at Shoppers Drug Mart.
