Precision Agriculture Specialist

This position is a key member of the Precision Ag Department who supports our customers with their John Deere Precision Ag products. The focus of this position will be assisting customers with Precision Ag troubleshooting, machine optimizations, and training support. Responsibilities of this position include:

• Provide Precision Agriculture technical phone support with a focus on superior customer service
• Develop and present product training to both customers and Huron Tractor staff
• Perform machine optimization visits to customers and provide instruction on settings and adjustments
• Plan and execute machine demonstrations to prospective customers
• Some activities listed above may require working weekends and evenings during planting and harvest season

• 4+ years of experience in a precision agriculture role, agronomy or related agricultural technology role
• Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agronomy or a related discipline
• 5-7 years in a customer service type position with evidence of strong interpersonal skills and customer support
• A proven track record of building long-term relationships with clients
• Strong technical background and proficiency with computer applications
• Knowledge of application equipment; willing to network with experts in the industry for support
• Exceptional self-starting abilities
• Strong communication and organization skills
• An affinity for learning and staying up to date with new technology and data solutions
• Ability to operate with a solutions approach and identify existing/emerging customer needs
• Ability to use standard desktop applications such as Microsoft Office and internet applications

• $70k - $90k per year
• The posted pay range reflects the skills and qualifications listed above. Candidates with higher or lower levels of experience, education or knowledge may be considered at a point outside the range.
