Global Trade & Customs Analyst – Midland, Ontario

Raytheon ELCAN is seeking a Global Trade & Customs Analyst to report to the Sr. Supervisor, Global Trade & Security. The role focuses on export, import, and trade compliance activities for the organization.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Ensure effective export/import compliance in accordance with Canadian, U.S., and international export laws.
  • Perform daily trade compliance activities: review and approve hardware export authorizations (domestic and international).
  • Prepare and review customs documents such as Commercial Invoices, CARM & CERS portal, USMCA and other free trade agreements, validate HS codes and tariff mitigation opportunities.
  • Handle technology transfers and deemed exports, including Data Services Export Requests (DSER) forms and Destination Control Statements for ITAR, EAR, and Controlled Goods.
  • Prepare end‑user statements for supply chain management.
  • Conduct import classification, valuation, and country of origin analysis; assist with reporting.
  • Support trade compliance and security audits and implement corrective actions.
  • Assist with implementation of trade, customs, and security compliance training.
  • Conduct supply chain due diligence, including FCPA, Cyber DFARS, sanction approvals, and annual vendor compliance certifications.
  • Support development and implementation of improved processes and contribute to a positive workplace culture.
Qualifications & Experience
  • University degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum two years of relevant experience in export/import or shipment of goods and materials in Canada.
  • Experience with Canadian Controlled Goods Regulations, U.S. ITAR, and U.S. EAR.
  • Knowledge of Canada Customs and Global Affairs Canada regulations is an asset.
  • Strong multitasking skills with the ability to perform under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Self‑motivated with a consistently positive attitude and eagerness to learn and grow.
Security Clearance

This position involves technologies regulated by the Canadian government’s Controlled Goods Program and the Contract Security Program. Candidates must be Canadian citizens or permanent residents who have resided in Canada for at least five consecutive years, and must pass a security screening per the Controlled Goods Regulations and the Contract Security Program.

Benefits & Compensation

Salary range: 54,000

CAD – 93,150

CAD. Benefits include medical and dental coverage, disability benefits, a retirement savings program, tuition assistance, and potential annual incentive compensation.
