Elevate your IT career with Georgian College as a Network Administrator in Barrie, Ontario. Oversee and support a robust college-wide cloud, LAN, and WAN infrastructure.
As a full-time Network Administrator, you will report to the Manager of IT Infrastructure. This role requires expertise in designing, implementing, and maintaining advanced network systems, including WANs, LANs, and telephony services. Engage in deploying new technologies and ensuring compliance with standards like PCI while enhancing operational support across academic and administrative services.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide technical design and support for network infrastructure
• Install and maintain hardware like routers and firewalls
• Research and implement new networking solutions
• Troubleshoot network issues for final level support
• Conduct training sessions for staff and colleagues
Requirements:
• Three-year postsecondary diploma/degree in IT or related field
• CCNP certification with five years of IT experience
• Proficient with routers, switches, and firewalls
• Strong understanding of the OSI model
• Residence in Ontario is required
