Job DescriptionOperations Support Group (Network Operations) is a 7/24 Service Availability (Dual Site Coverage) department responsible for providing frontline support of TD’s network environment. The primary focus of the team is reacting to any and all anomalies presented through a variety of monitoring tools for the Bank’s mission‑critical network. ScheduleRotating 12‑hour shift schedule (7 days a week / 24 hours a day) with two shifts: 7 am‑7 pm ET and 7 pm‑7 am ET. Candidates must be available onsite for both shifts as per rotation.
Job Description / AccountabilitiesAn IT Operations Analyst IV within the Network Operations Support Group provides senior‑level support of TD Bank Group’s network infrastructure. Responsibilities include core network operations, incident management, and support for LAN, MAN, WAN, RLAN, wireless, firewall, load balancer, and optical solutions.
Accountabilities Will Include, But Not Limited To, Following- Manage day‑to‑day deliverables during the shift under the overall direction of the NOC Shift Leader, ensuring efficient work management and timely escalation to Shift Lead/Manager.
- Provide strong technical support while ensuring adherence to NOC processes and procedures, including automation use, remediation procedures, ticketing, vendor updates, and handover documentation.
- Collaborate closely with the Shift Leader to manage queues and work intake.
- Engage in high‑priority incidents (P2) and incident calls to provide support.
- Coordinate with wider operational teams such as EES/OCG and other support areas on an ongoing basis.
- Ensure proper follow‑up and handover of taken‑over work to the next shift and Shift Leader.
- Support incident, change, and problem management processes.
- Manage incident queue, effectively prioritize and triage incidents based on critical devices and shared services.
- Develop team members through effective feedback and recognition.
- Assess training needs, process gaps, improvement suggestions, and automation opportunities; communicate findings upward.
- Assess impact and risk of significant issues and report promptly to Shift Leader/Manager.
- Escalate with internal TD teams and third‑party vendors.
- Manage chronic, repeat, and aging incidents with proper internal/external escalations.
- Create how‑to documents and procedures for support and training of new and junior team members; peer‑review documentation created by others and suggest improvements.
- Explore new automation opportunities for repetitive tasks to reduce human touch.
- Report challenges with internal processes, gaps, or vendor and telco issues.
- Perform other duties as required.
- Strong team player, self‑motivated, highly organized, and able to multi‑task in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with support groups, clients, and vendors.
- Experience and sound understanding of network environments (TCP/IP, Cisco & Aruba routers/switches, Arista switches, firewall, load balancers, Wi‑Fi) and telecommunications concepts.
- Strong knowledge of switching and routing – Cisco Catalyst/Nexus switches, SDWAN (Cisco/Aruba Silverpeak).
- Hands‑on experience with Cisco ACI, Palo Alto firewalls, F5 load balancers, Aruba or Cisco Wi‑Fi, and VMware NSX is a definite asset.
- Proficiency executing diagnostic techniques with network tools such as Sev One, Net Brain, Infoblox, Extra Hop, Thousand Eyes.
- Sound second‑level problem determination and source identification skills for the various network technologies used within TD globally.
- Technology degree/diploma or equivalent work experience.
- CCNA certified with a minimum of 5 years work experience in Network Operations/Production environment, or
- CCNP certified with a minimum of 3 years work experience in Network Operations/Production environment.
- CCDP and ITIL certifications are a definite asset.
