Position Summary:- To assist with repair and preventative maintenance on Wastewater Treatment and Wastewater Collection facilities as required by Town policies and in accordance with Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks and Certificates of Approval(s). All work shall be performed under the direct supervision of a licensed operator.
- Assist Wastewater Treatment Plant Operators in maintenance and operation of all treatment plants and collection system equipment
- Perform a variety of custodial duties, such as window cleaning, floor maintenance and cleaning of equipment
- Chamber Maintenance - locating, mapping and cleaning.
Duties & Responsibilities:

- Perform a variety of custodial duties, such as window cleaning, floor maintenance and cleaning of equipment
- Chamber Maintenance - locating, mapping and cleaning.
- Promotes a high standard of customer service to the public as well as to all internal customers.
- Comply with all health and safety practices as it relates to the work, standard operating guidelines and the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
- Performs other duties as required.
- Minimum one year work experience in a team environment
- Currently enrolled in a secondary or postsecondary institution in a related field
- Preference will be given to post-secondary students enrolled in an Environmental Technician or Technology course.
- Valid G or G2 license
- Aptitude in machinery and vehicle operation and maintenance
- Ability to foster good working and interpersonal communications
- Required to move, lift, carry, pull and place objects up to 50 pounds without assistance
- Required to stand, sit or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire shift
- Required to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting and pulling
- Required to move over sloping, uneven or slippery surfaces
- Valid Standard First Aid and CPR/AED certificate preferred
This is a seasonal opportunity for an open seasonal position at the Town. The hourly range for this role is $20.87-$24.39 (2026 Rate). The Town also offers the following to our employees:
