Become a vital part of The Salvation Army Barrie Ministries as a Janitorial Caretaker. Ensure our facilities maintain a safe and sanitary environment through essential cleaning duties and upkeep standards.
As a Janitorial Caretaker, you will handle various cleaning responsibilities, including maintaining the cleanliness of all spaces, emptying garbage, and ensuring the security of the facility.
Your role is crucial in creating a welcoming atmosphere for clients and staff alike by executing daily cleaning tasks and performing minor repairs as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform light cleaning to maintain defined work areas
• Empty and manage garbage and recycling bins
• Vacuum carpets and wash tiled floors as required
• Clean and restock washrooms and kitchen areas
• Report repairs and safety concerns to your supervisor
Requirements:
• Up to 1 year of custodial experience
• Completion of Secondary School
• Knowledge of Health & Safety Standards
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to lift/move up to 49 pounds
Contribute to the health and safety of The Salvation Army's environment by delivering meticulous cleaning and maintenance services.
