Custodial Caretaker Salvation Army

Position: Custodial Caretaker at The Salvation Army
Support the cleanliness of The Salvation Army Barrie Ministries as a Custodial Caretaker.

Your role will involve performing essential janitorial tasks to ensure a sanitary and safe environment.

As a Custodial Caretaker, you will carry out numerous tasks, such as cleaning floors, emptying waste bins, and performing minor repairs. Your commitment to health and safety will be critical, and you will be responsible for keeping both the interior and exterior spaces of the facility clean and accessible.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle light cleaning duties and maintenance

• Vacuum, sweep, and wash floors as required

• Maintain sanitary conditions in all washrooms

• Ensure outdoor upkeep, including snow removal

• Check facility security and report issues

Requirements:

• Up to 1 year of experience in custodial tasks

• Completion of Secondary School

• Familiarity with Health & Safety guidelines

• Proven reliability and attention to detail

• Capacity to handle physical work and lifting
