Position: GBGH Environmental Services Aide Role
Location: Midland

Impact healthcare positively at Georgian Bay General Hospital as an Environmental Services Aide. This role revolves around essential cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure patient safety and well-being.

As part of the Environmental Services team, you'll be responsible for cleaning and disinfecting various areas, including patient rooms and high-risk units. This full-time position requires flexibility and the ability to operate specialized floor cleaning equipment while following GBGH’s infection control guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain cleanliness of patient and non-patient areas

• Change curtains and conduct wall cleaning

• Perform project cleaning tasks regularly

• Disinfect elevators and handle waste appropriately

• Ensure all equipment is used and stored correctly

Requirements:

• Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent

• Previous experience in housekeeping preferred

• Capable of effective communication

• Knowledge of safety and cleaning standards

• Adaptable to changing work conditions
