Part Time Environmental Services Aide

Location: Midland

Contribute to patient care excellence at Georgian Bay General Hospital as a Part Time Environmental Services Aide. Ensure cleanliness and safety through dedicated housekeeping practices in a dynamic healthcare environment.

This role is vital to maintaining high standards of hygiene within the hospital. You will be responsible for cleaning patient rooms, operating floor cleaning equipment, and managing waste in accordance with protocols. Your efforts directly enhance the well-being of patients, staff, and families.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean and disinfect patient and non-patient areas

• Perform weekly and monthly cleaning projects

• Handle and transport healthcare waste safely

• Operate commercial cleaning equipment

• Report health and safety concerns and broken equipment

Requirements:

• Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent

• Prior housekeeping experience is an asset

• Ability to communicate effectively

• Knowledge of WHMIS and chemical handling

• Capable of meeting physical demands, including lifting
