Chartwell is hiring a Lead Maintenance Manager to ensure a safe and pleasant living environment for seniors. This foundational role focuses on efficient maintenance practices and compliance with health and safety standards.

As a Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of maintenance and cleanliness within our residence. You will initiate preventative strategies, manage both internal staff and external vendors, and respond to urgent maintenance requests. Your leadership will directly affect residents’ comfort and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and conduct preventative maintenance for all facilities

• Quickly tackle maintenance requests from residents and staff

• Maintain high safety standards through fixture servicing

• Manage vendor relationships for compliance and cost-effectiveness

• Lead maintenance teams and participate in health initiatives

Requirements:

• Minimum 1-3 years in a supervisory capacity

• Extensive building maintenance and repair experience

• Trade certification or maintenance training preferred

• Experience with plumbing, carpentry, and other trades

• Strong organizational skills and proficiency in communication
