MAINTENANCE PERSON
Operations Area: Area #5B – Duntroon Operations Centre and group of schools
Status: Permanent
Hours: 8 hours per day; 40 hours per week
Shift: As required

Qualifications andSkills Required:
- Knowledge of building trades and be mechanically inclined.
- Knowledge and experience in the use of power tools and construction equipment.
- Knowledge of maintenance methods, procedures, general building repairs, building interior systems, exterior building fabric and grounds maintenance.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, diagrams and shop drawings.
- Good communication skills. Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
- Physically fit and able to perform physically demanding tasks including heavy lifting, work from ladders, power lifts, and scaffolding.
- Excellent organizational, scheduling and time management skills.
- Valid Ontario drivers licence is required and proof will be requested on hiring.
- Computer literacy sufficient to operate Facility Services Maintenance Work Order System and MS Office programs.

Testing WILL be required during the selection process
Participation in the OMERS Pension Plan is mandatory for all full-time permanent employees,
even if currently in receipt of an OMERS pension.
This position is part of the CUPE Local 1310 bargaining unit. The terms and conditions of employment for this position are contained within the CUPE Collective Agreement, including any applicable union dues.
