Custodian

Mac Lean Engineering is looking for a skilled and experienced Custodian to join our growing facilities team in Barrie, Ontario

The Custodian is responsible for a mixture of routine duties and project work as assigned between two facilities, scheduled by the Facilities Maintenance Supervisor/Plant Manager. The following proficiencies are required:

• General plant and office custodial duties:
• Sweeping/mopping floors
• Cleaning washrooms/locker rooms
• Disinfecting cafeteria area
• Empty garbage and recycling bins
• Project work may include;
• Painting
• Assisting peers with general handyman work

The successful candidate(s) must be willing to learn, open-minded and flexible, organized and detail oriented, team oriented, disciplined, and must have a positive attitude, along with the following qualifications:

• One (1) + years’ previous industrial cleaning experience

• 3 weeks' vacation annually
• Paid sick and family emergency time
• Paid overtime after 40 hours worked
• $1.50 per hour shift premium for Afternoon Shift and Weekend Shift employees
• Weekend Shift employees are eligible to be compensated for 40 hours when full 36 hours worked

Day shift:
Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m.

- 4:30 a.m. (5 x 8 hour shifts)
