Location: Midland
Elevate community development in Midland as the new Executive Director, Growth & Development Services. Lead with strategic insight, manage municipal projects, and enhance service delivery to support growth initiatives.
Reporting to the CAO, this permanent full-time role requires strong leadership and oversight in municipal services. You will oversee significant departmental functions including Planning and Building divisions. Ideal candidates will possess a blend of analytical, interpersonal, and management skills to foster a positive workplace culture and navigate complex municipal issues.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide strategic direction for Planning and By-law divisions
• Lead major corporate projects with effective reporting
• Develop departmental work plans and objectives
• Coach staff to build a positive workplace culture
• Analyze emerging risks to identify innovative solutions
Requirements:
• Post-secondary degree in Public Administration or a related field
• Minimum of seven years' leadership experience in municipal services
• Proven ability to manage budgets and corporate planning
• Strong analytical and interpersonal communication skills
• Master’s degree is considered an asset
