Lead apprenticeship services across Ontario’s North Region from Thunder Bay or Sudbury, using stakeholder engagement and team leadership expertise. This fixed-term contract spans up to twelve months.
Skilled Trades Ontario seeks a Regional Manager, Apprenticeship Services, reporting to the Director, Regional Operations. You will oversee regional promotion, apprenticeship administration, stakeholder coordination, and support services. The work advances apprentice participation, progression, and completion through collaboration with employers, training providers, educational institutions, and community organizations.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead regional apprenticeship awareness and recruitment initiatives
- Oversee registration, training agreements, and certification services
- Coordinate employers, training providers, apprentices, and stakeholders
- Monitor performance indicators and report program results
- Oversee regional examination scheduling, security, and results handling
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with trade certification
- Extensive public or stakeholder relations experience
- Proven leadership and team management experience
- Experience promoting programs to underrepresented groups
- Project management and data analysis experience
