Welder Fitter

We are currently seeking an experienced Welder Fitter to join a Leading Manufacturer in the Barrie area. Must be able to work day shift with no rotating shifts or graveyard shifts. The role offers high‑octane fabrication followed by evenings free.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 7 years of welding and fitting experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work in a fast‑paced, custom fabrication environment.

• Work full time in Barrie, Monday to Friday
• 8‑hour days, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm (day shift)
• Overtime and occasional weekends as needed. Overtime pay:
  Pay rate $27.00–$43.25 /hr based on experience and skill level

• Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and technical drawings
• Use of overhead cranes & forklifts
• Experience working with stainless steel & aluminum an asset
• Experience with pre & post heating of work pieces
• Fit and weld light gauge to heavy plate materials up to 2” thick
• Perform layout and fabrication of custom metal components
• Use various welding processes including MIG, TIG, Stick, and Flux‑Core
• Work within a CWB, TSSA‑certified shop environment

• Minimum 7 years of welder‑fitter experience (required)
• Proven experience with heavy plate fitting
• Proficient in various welding techniques: layout, measurements, and blueprint reading
• Strong mechanical background
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Familiarity with CWB and TSSA standards (preferred)
• Stick:
  Flux‑core: MIG: TIG proficiency
