Job Purpose

Material Handlers are required to operate a forklift truck and must be able to load/unload trailers, storage bins and racks and deliver these products to their desired locations. This position is responsible for keeping an inventory of product availability and location using RFQ and ERP.

Key Responsibilities And Accountabilities
  • Complete knowledge of all material handling practices.
  • Work independently and react effectively to line changes while minimizing downtime for production.
  • Place items into storage area and consolidate bins as required. Utilize RFQ and Visual to access location, change location, and check material movement.
  • Manage footprint to consolidate, sort and stack products and parts.
  • Pick and deliver parts from storage area to the desired location or machine efficiently.
  • Perform accurate inventory counts of all SKUs or locations within area of responsibility as directed.
  • Move material using a pump truck or by hand, offload product from incoming trailers, palletize, and shrink wrap when necessary.
  • Multi‑task and work in a fast‑paced environment with changing priorities. Provide product or parts to multiple lines and machines.
  • Abide by all Health & Safety regulations and comply with ISO 9001‑2000 principles.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and maintain all equipment as per maintenance guidelines and procedures.
  • Continue to grow Lean knowledge and use tools to identify and assist with continuous improvement of product and processes.
Education And Experience
  • Minimum high school diploma, GED, or 2–3 years of relevant manufacturing/warehousing experience.
  • Minimum 1–2 years driving a forklift in a manufacturing setting.
  • Forklift certificate required.
  • RF scanner experience.
  • ERP or MRP (Visual) experience preferred.
  • Fork Truck Safety Course and Driving Certificate.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to think independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent organizational and time‑management skills; able to function in a fast‑paced, multi‑functional environment where priorities change regularly.
