Truss Assembler (Experienced Carpenter/Framer) – Full Time

Location: Innisfil, ON (just off Hwy 400)

United Truss is part of United Lumber, a multi-location building materials supplier serving professional builders and contractors. We specialize in the manufacturing of high-quality roof trusses and are proud to support the residential construction industry across the region.

Position Overview

We are seeking experienced Truss Assemblers to join our growing team. This is a hands-on role assembling pre-cut lumber components into roof trusses in a fast-paced production environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with construction-related experience
, especially those with backgrounds in:

  • Truss building or manufacturing
  • Residential framing
  • Deck building
  • Carpentry or general construction
Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble roof trusses using pre-cut wood components according to blueprints and production specifications
  • Position and secure components on assembly tables using jigs, plates, staplers, and presses
  • Use laser-guided systems (Virtek/Wizard) and measuring tools to ensure accuracy
  • Perform quality checks to confirm dimensions, alignment, and material quality
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
  • Follow all health & safety procedures and wear required PPE
  • Assist with inventory, housekeeping, and general production duties as needed
What We’re Looking For

Required:

  • Previous hands-on experience in construction, carpentry, framing, or truss assembly
  • Ability to read measurements and interpret drawings or setup sheets
  • Strong math and problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Reliable with a strong work ethic and positive team attitude

Preferred:

  • Experience with pneumatic tools, saws, or production equipment
  • Manufacturing or assembly line experience
Working Conditions
  • Dayshift (Monday to Friday)
  • Physically demanding role involving:
    • Lifting up to 40 lbs
    • Standing, bending, gripping, and repetitive motions
