CNC Oxy Acetylene Torch and Plasma Table Operator

Barrie Welding and Machine – Barrie, Ontario

Seeking a skilled Plasma & Acetylene Torch Table Operator with a minimum of 5 years operating a plasma/burn table. The role involves setting up and operating a CNC plasma table, manipulating DXF files, and producing high‑quality parts in Pro Nest within a fast‑paced production environment. The operator will also support steel warehouse tasks when available.

• Set up and operate CNC plasma torch cutting equipment
• Load and input DXF files for cutting operations
• Monitor cutting process to ensure accuracy and quality
• Operate overhead crane and forklift
• Deburr and deliver finished pieces to various departments
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on equipment
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Collaborate with team members to meet production timelines
• Inspect finished parts to meet required specifications
• Assist in steel warehouse by cutting, stocking steel in racking, and unloading trucks

• Experience operating CNC plasma/torch cutting equipment
• Strong understanding of DXF files and CAD/CAM software
• Experience with Pro Nest software
• Mechanically inclined with good problem‑solving skills
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment

Pay: $25.00 – $30.00 per hour, with overtime pay available.

8‑hour shift, day shift, Monday to Friday, with a mandatory ½ day Saturday rotation per month and potential overtime.

Must be able to reliably commute to Barrie, Ontario (L4N 2C7) or be willing to relocate, with relocation assistance preferred.
