Jobsummary
We’re looking for an ambitious and hard‑working professional to join our Cultivation team in the role of Team Member, Cultivation.
Responsibilities- Participate in the continuous scouting and monitoring of the crop for health, pest and diseases.
- Release biological control agents (BCAs) as part of the Integrated Pest Management (IPM) program.
- Communicate and escalated all issues with the crop and/or the production process to all relevant parties as required.
- Participate in cultivation related activities such as pruning, defoliating, crop maintenance, harvesting and cycle turnover as required.
- Adhere to Aurora's SOPs and comply with Health Canada’s Cannabis Act, ISO requirements, OHSA and GMP where applicable.
- Lift up to 25 kg/50 lbs from the ground to a height of x feet, and lift, push or pull up to 30 lbs as necessary.
- Other duties as required.
- Work directly with products in a Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) certified plant; a medical screening exam will be required toward the end of the recruitment process.
- Grower Pesticide Safety Course completed is an asset.
- Strong communication and problem‑solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work unsupervised.
- Health Canada security clearance is an asset.
- Experience with physical effort up to 30 lbs.
- Ability to work in temperatures ranging from 20 °C to 32 °C.
- Availability to work weekends, holidays and after hours as required.
- Experience with repetitive use of hands, wrists and forearms.
- Comfortable climbing ladders.
- Awareness that the position involves significant exposure to cannabis/plant materials and may not be suitable for individuals with allergies to cannabis/plant pollen or other related medical issues.
