Plastic Extrusion Operator - Night Shift

Gibraltar is seeking a dedicated Plastic Extrusion Operator for the night shift in Barrie, Ontario, from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM, Monday to Friday. Ideal candidates will have a strong operational background in extrusion and safety awareness.

This full-time position demands a flexible shift schedule and is best suited for candidates with prior plastic extrusion experience. Responsibilities include assisting in start-up and shut-down procedures while employing safety awareness and adherence to operation protocols. This role also involves physical tasks that require consistent lifting of 30 lbs and maintaining workplace standards through 5S practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Document using machine check sheets accurately

• Support set-up and shut-down operations as instructed

• Engage in purging and cleanup tasks effectively

• Maintain a safe and organized work environment

• Ensure high attendance and performance standards

Requirements:

• Proven experience in plastic extrusion

• Proficient in English reading and writing

• Familiar with mathematical calculations

• Physically able to lift 30 lbs regularly

• Willingness to adapt to shift flexibility
