Baxter is known for its speed and high‑quality product. Our manufacturing operations are around‑the‑clock to meet the needs of our customers. We are currently looking for an energetic, hard‑working Filling Operator to work permanent full‑time on the Afternoon shift (Monday to Friday 15:00h-23:00h EST) at our Alliston facility.
Shift details: Afternoon shift (Monday to Friday 15:00h-23:00h EST)
Dress/gowning requirements:
- Safety glasses, safety shoes, ear plugs, jumpsuit, hood, hairnet, beard cover, gloves, isolation mask and boots (additional PPE required when cleaning)
- Constant or intermittent exposure to elevated levels of noise
- Involves working around equipment, machinery, and belts
On a rotating basis:
- Perform visual inspection of IV bag assembly.
- Fill IV solution in various bag sizes.
- Place bags into protective over‑wrap.
- Load bags onto sterilizer trays.
- Use scales, weigh filled bags at regular intervals to ensure proper fill volume.
On a continual or intermittent basis:
- Learn and apply thorough quality standards, SOPs, and cGMP.
- Notify the supervisor and take appropriate action if any safety, quality, mechanical or discrepancy issues occur.
- Sustain a clean and safe work area using 6S principles.
- High School diploma or GED (Proof required).
- Must pass ergonomic assessment.
- Experience doing repetitive tasks.
- Manufacturing/Quality experience in a GMP environment.
- Experience in food or manufacturing industry.
- Previous experience working in a fast‑paced environment, preferred assembly line setting.
- Flexibility to work weekends.
- Positive attitude and teamwork focus with quality assurance and attention to detail.
Pay rate: $26.55 per hour. Shift premium may apply for all shift premium eligible hours and will be included in your bi‑weekly pay. Shift premium pay is subject to change and is at the sole discretion of the Company.
