Your Role at Baxter
A Plastics Operator speeds production of life‑sustaining products on the Weekend Night shift (Friday to Saturday 23:00h–11:00h EST and Saturday to Sunday 23:00h–11:00h EST), working permanent part‑time.
What You’ll Be DoingThe Plastics Operator operates Kiefel, S‑A‑P‑A, Grinder and Blender machines, makes minor adjustments, performs QA inspections, and documents all activities in compliance with Good Documentation Practices. The role includes:
- Operate Kiefel, SAPA, Grinder and Blender in a safe manner
- Perform QA inspections and complete documentation following GDP to support product release
- Troubleshoot and make minor equipment adjustments to maintain product quality and efficiency
- Enter shop‑floor data and order raw materials using a computer
- Maintain production paperwork to ensure materials correspond with BOM
- Transport raw materials and finished products using safe lifting guidelines
- Learn and apply quality standards, SOPs, and cGMP
- Notify supervisor of safety, quality, mechanical or discrepancy issues
- Sustain a clean and safe work area using 6S principles
- High school diploma or GED
- Flexibility to work overtime as required
- Experience troubleshooting mechanical problems
- Demonstrated problem‑solving skills
- Experience working effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Proactive and self‑motivated on the job
- Ability to comprehend Baxter specifications and SOPs and determine appropriate corrective actions
Equipment used includes Kiefel machines, SAPA, 4‑wheel trolleys, manual jacks, electric hoist, 4‑wheel pushcart, QA tools and gauges, and a computer.
Pay & BenefitsPay rate: $30.30 per hour plus shift premium for eligible hours. Shift premium is subject to change at the sole discretion of Baxter.
