Surface Treatment Associate - Weekend Shift
Shift Details
- Work Schedule:
Sunday, Friday, Saturday (12 hours/day 7am-7pm; 36 hours/week) - Shift Premium: $2.20/hour for all hours worked
- Weekend Shift Bonus: additional 4 hours/week on exceptional basis
- Break
Schedule:
one paid eating period of 30 minutes; two paid rest periods of 15 minutes each after the eating period - Statutory Holiday Pay: paid as per policy (8 hours/day)
- Vacation: paid as per policy
- Ongoing compliance with Health and Safety practices (EHSS, WHMIS, area hazard assessment, PPE, etc.)
- Painting according to drawings
- Plating processes including anodizing, chromate conversion, passivation and etching
- Abrasive blasting
- Measure and gauge parts to ensure quality is adhered to
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the work area
- Adhere to specifications and work instructions to ensure efficient, safe, and high‑quality production
- Participate in a positive workplace culture
- Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent
- Technical ability to read blueprints, sketches, interpret drawings and GD&T
- Knowledge of metrology equipment (calipers, gauges, micrometers)
- Understanding of quality systems
- Effective interpersonal leadership and communication skills
- Proficiency with basic computer programs (Excel, Word)
- Ability to lift approximately 30 lbs and repetitive lifting of 15 lbs or less
- Proven technical problem‑solving and decision‑making skills
- Highly motivated with a positive attitude
- Willingness to learn and acquire knowledge through study, instruction or experience
- Experience painting

This position involves technologies regulated by the Canadian government’s Controlled Goods Program and the Contract Security Program. Candidates must be Canadian citizens or permanent residents, have resided in Canada for at least five consecutive years, and meet all other program requirements.
