What You Will Do
- Learn to handle optics, read blueprints, and use measuring equipment.
- Assemble products according to provided specifications.
- Utilize calibrated equipment as part of the manufacturing process.
- Follow workflow instructions from Supervision/Group Leads.
- Use good visual acuity to identify imperfections in parts or assemblies.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Perform basic data entry and computer work.
- Share in the commitment towards a positive workplace culture.
- Hands‑on experience with optical assembly and precision manufacturing processes.
- Practical application of blueprints and technical documentation.
- Effective use of calibrated tools and measuring equipment.
- Strategies for problem‑solving in a manufacturing environment.
- Best practices for maintaining a safe, efficient, and positive workplace.
- Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic computer literacy and confidence using technology.
- Ability to understand technical issues and make sound decisions.
- Comfortable working with the metric system.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
- Self‑motivated with a consistently positive attitude.
- Capable of working day or afternoon shifts and remaining seated or standing for extended periods.
- Familiarity with maintaining safety and quality standards in a manufacturing setting.
- Collaborative and innovative work environment.

This position involves technologies regulated by the Canadian government’s Controlled Goods Program and the Contract Security Program. Candidates must be Canadian citizens or permanent residents, have resided in Canada for a minimum of five consecutive years, and meet all other program requirements. Job offers will be contingent upon successful security screening.
