Insight Global is seeking a Registered Nurse for a Barrie based healthcare client. The Registered Nurse (RN) provides full‑scope, culturally safe, trauma‑informed primary care as part of the an Indigenous Interprofessional Primary Care Team. The RN delivers well‑baby/child care, immunizations, chronic disease support, client education, and assists with minor procedures while upholding infection‑prevention practices. Although based at an assigned clinic, the RN provides care across clinic, community organization, home, and mobile settings throughout the region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform full‑scope RN assessments, including histories, physical exams, wellness visits, prenatal care, Pap tests, and well‑baby care.
  • Provide chronic disease monitoring, medication/injection support, and health education.
  • Record vitals, biometric measures, and maintain accurate EMR documentation.
  • Triage patients by acuity and follow medical directives; assist with minor procedures.
  • Deliver immunizations, maintain vaccine inventory, and educate patients on vaccine needs and side effects.
  • Provide phone/virtual care, including via OTN.
  • Collaborate with the interprofessional team and connect patients to appropriate services.
  • Support community health initiatives such as mobile or pop‑up vaccine clinics.
  • Provide occasional front‑desk support when needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • BScN or equivalent, with CNO registration in good standing.
  • Immunization certificate an asset.
  • Experience in primary care and working with Indigenous communities is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Indigenous cultures, history, and determinants of health.
  • Ability to provide full‑scope RN care and contribute to care planning and patient education across the lifespan.
  • Experience with telehealth tools and EMRs.
  • Ability to support patients requiring risk‑reduction counselling (e.g., smoking cessation, weight management, addictions, sexual health).
  • Competent in immunization programs and supporting chronic disease management (e.g., diabetes, hypertension, COPD, asthma).
  • Commitment to trauma‑informed practice, continuous learning, and quality improvement.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of an interprofessional team.
  • Valid Ontario driver’s licence, access to a vehicle, and clear Police Check.
