    About the role
    This role sits within cohealth's Public Intoxication Response (PIR) program, and offers experienced, calm leadership in a complex and rewarding environment.

    As the RN Specialist - Team Support, you'll provide clinical guidance and mentoring to Registered and Enrolled Nurses while remaining hands-on, working regular RN shifts and influencing care quality and team capability.

    The PIR program operates 24/7, onsite and through outreach. Shifts include after-hours and weekends, shared across the team on a planned, equitable rotational roster.

    Your duties include:

  • Support the Senior Nurse to develop a skilled, resilient workforce through effective staff management and professional development, while contributing to continuous service improvement
  • Work with people who are heavily intoxicated with alcohol, provide sound nursing care practices based on evidence and supported by a comprehensive repertoire of clinical practices
  • Develop evidence based clinical documentation for the assessment and care of the client
  • Supervise registered nurses, enrolled nurses and other non-clinical staff

  • Relevant tertiary qualification
  • Current Registered Nurse registration with AHPRA
  • Extensive team leadership experience working in community or public health with marginalised populations
