Huntsville District Memorial Hospital (HDMH) located in Huntsville. Applicants must reside within 125km of one of our hospital campuses or be willing to relocate prior to starting.

Responsibilities
Assist in the ER under the direct supervision of a registered nurse according to assigned duties within the scope of practice as established by the College of Nurses of Ontario and in accordance with Hospital policy. Successfully complete MAHC RPN enhanced scope of practice credentialing. Administer nursing care for patients under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse.
Required Education & Certification
Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
Courses at diploma level or equivalent courses through a recognized College Program (pre or post‑grad RPN):
Medication Course/Math Pharmacology, Catheterization, PIV Therapy, Health Assessment, Wound Management.
Current BLS (Basic Life Support).
Basic & Advanced Nursing Fundamental Skills.
Successful completion of MAHC RPN enhanced scope of practice skills.
Required Skills & Experience
Minimum 2 years Medical / Surgical experience.
Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
Ability to organize, prioritize and function well under stress and crisis situations.
Desired Skills, Experience & Education
Physical Assessment Course.
Previous ER / Ambulatory Care / Clinical Setting / Trauma / Cardiac experience.
