Registered Practical Nurse – Bradford Valley Community, Bradford, Ontario

Rate of Pay: $28.42-$32.04 Max (As per Collective Agreement)

Position:
Existing vacancy.

Reporting to the Director of Care, the Registered Practical Nurse plays a critical role in ensuring residents receive high quality, compassionate care and supports the care team.

• Provide nursing care in accordance with established policy, physician orders, the resident plan of care, and within the scope of practice of an RPN/LPN.
• Utilize sound nursing practice principles to ensure delivery of excellent nursing and personal care.
• Create a welcoming and supportive environment for residents through teamwork and effective communication with staff.
• Oversee resident care, including regular communication with residents and their families, and provide guidance to staff.
• Supervise the Personal Support Workers/Unregulated team members assigned to the unit.
• Handle admission, readmission, and change in status, and provide ongoing assessment to residents.

• Registered Practical Nurse in good standing with the Ontario College of Nurses.
• Experience in Geriatrics, Rehabilitation, and/or senior health industry (asset).
• Good judgement, ability to identify risk, and ability to foster a positive work environment.
• Legally eligible to work in Canada or possessing a valid work permit.
• Must pass a Vulnerable Sector Check and/or Criminal Record Check applicable to the appropriate province.
