As a Clinical Nurse Educator, you will lead educational initiatives specifically tailored for nurses within the Maternal Child Program. This part-time role emphasizes developing and evaluating programs while supporting interdisciplinary teams to provide exceptional care to mothers and newborns. A strong focus on adult learning principles will be essential to promote effective education in clinical settings.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement educational programs for obstetrics nurses
• Mentor nursing staff in critical thinking and clinical judgment
• Facilitate high-risk simulation training sessions
• Analyze patient safety incidents for organizational improvement
• Monitor compliance with nursing competencies and regulations
Requirements:
• Baccalaureate Degree in nursing required
• At least 5 years of acute care experience
• Familiarity with obstetrical practices preferred
• Registered Nurse status with the College of Nurses
• Certification in adult learning principles required
