Make a difference in Indigenous health with the Barrie Area Native Advisory Circle as a Nurse Practitioner. This role involves providing comprehensive health care from a trauma-informed perspective in community and clinic settings.
As a valued team member, you will focus on promoting health and preventing disease while respecting cultural safety. Your work will contribute directly to the well-being of Indigenous clients, collaborating with a variety of health professionals to deliver complete care. Engage in outreach activities and seamlessly integrate traditional healing methods.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct health assessments and develop treatment plans
• Work closely with other health professionals in a team setting
• Educate communities on health promotion and disease prevention
• Ensure compliance with Indigenous health standards
• Provide referrals to specialists and cultural practitioners
Requirements:
• Must be a Registered Nurse in Extended Class (CNO)
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing needed
• Experience with electronic medical records required
• Understanding of Indigenous community health practices
• Willingness to travel for outreach responsibilities
