We need a Registered Nurse to join our Surgical Services - PACU team! You wantto be part of our PACU because we're fast-paced, team-oriented, and focusedon exceptional patient care. At this time this opportunity is scheduled for 8-hour shifts

As the successful applicant, you will do the following:

Conduct preoperativeassessments and prepare patients for surgery.

Educate patients on the surgical process, recovery expectations, and postoperative care.

Monitor and assess patientsrecovering from anesthesia in the PACU.

Manage vital signs,oxygenation, pain control, and patient comfort.

Identify and respond topostoperative complications as needed.

Collaborate with surgicaland anesthesia teams to support safe patient recovery.

Assess patient readiness for discharge, including evaluating vital signs, pain levels, and overallcondition.

Provide discharge teachingon wound care, medications, follow-up care, and signs of potentialcomplications.

Support and educate patients and families throughout the surgical journey.

Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to maintain patient safety and high standards of care.

What You’ll Bring

Required

Current Certificate of Registration as a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario

Minimum of two year ofrecent critical care nursing experience

Current BCLS and ACLScertification

PACU Certificate (ortoobtain within 6 months of hire)

Critical Care or Emergency Department Certification

Preferred

Knowledge of current NAPANstandards
