We need a Registered Nurse to join our Surgical Services - PACU team! You want to be part of our PACU because we're fast-paced, team-oriented, and focused on exceptional patient care.   • At this time this opportunity is scheduled for 8-hour shifts
  • As the successful applicant, you will do the following:

  • Conduct preoperative assessments and prepare patients for surgery.
  • Educate patients on the surgical process, recovery expectations, and postoperative care.
  • Monitor and assess patients recovering from anesthesia in the PACU.
  • Manage vital signs, oxygenation, pain control, and patient comfort.
  • Identify and respond to postoperative complications as needed.
  • Collaborate with surgical and anesthesia teams to support safe patient recovery.
  • Assess patient readiness for discharge, including evaluating vital signs, pain levels, and overall condition.
  • Provide discharge teaching on wound care, medications, follow-up care, and signs of potential complications.
  • Support and educate patients and families throughout the surgical journey.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to maintain patient safety and high standards of care.
  • What You’ll Bring

    Required

  • Current Certificate of Registration as a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Minimum of two year of recent critical care nursing experience
  • Current BCLS and ACLS certification
  • PACU Certificate (or to obtain within 6 months of hire)
  • Critical Care or Emergency Department Certification
  • Preferred

  • Knowledge of current NAPAN standards
