Infection Control Registered Nurse Position

Elevate patient safety at Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare as a temporary part-time Infection Prevention and Control Practitioner. This role focuses on policy development, risk assessment, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

In this position, you will implement an effective Infection Prevention and Control Program across multiple sites in Bracebridge and Huntsville. As an experienced nurse, your duties will include monitoring infection trends and recommending best practices. You will also lead education initiatives, serve as a clinical resource, and participate in quality improvement efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the development of infection control policies and procedures

• Assess infection risks and improvement opportunities

• Conduct training programs on prevention best practices

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for effective strategies

• Prepare reports on infection-related activities and compliance

Requirements:

• Registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario

• Minimum 2 years of experience in infection control

• Certification in Infection Prevention and Control preferred

• Strong knowledge of infection control regulations

• Willing to work at multiple hospital sites in Muskoka
