Access & Assurance Directorate Stracathro Regional Treatment Centre TRAINEE ADVANCED NURSE PRACTITIONER Band 7 Annex 21 para 2 (i) 36 hrs per week

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an individual to join the Stracathro Regional Treatment Centre (SRTC) team based at Stracathro Hospital.

The Trainee Advanced Nurse Practitioner is a training post, working towards becoming an Advanced Nurse Practitioner. The role is supervised and clearly linked to competencies and training that require completion within a pre arranged and designated time frame of 18 months. The focus will be on developing autonomous practice until any training requirements are successfully attained.

This includes an additional period of consolidation of learning for a minimum of 6 months.

Demonstrated proficiency will advance this role from a Trainee Advanced Nurse Practitioner to a Band 7 Advanced Nurse Practitioner.

The applicant must have evidence of continual professional development within an appropriate clinical setting, have completed or willingness to work towards Masters Level 11 education, and extensive experience in more than one speciality at Band 5 level is essential.

With proven experience within an acute clinical setting demonstrating excellent leadership and communication, you will have the ability to adapt to changing levels of activity and acuity within the surgical unit to work towards an autonomous role, specifically exercising advanced practice skills, knowledge and clinical expertise.

You must be registered on Sub-part 1: RN1 or RNA or Sub-part 2: RN2 of the UK NMC Register and educated at Degree Level.
