Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare is hiring an Infection Prevention and Control Practitioner to enhance patient safety. This temporary full-time position entails crafting and enforcing effective infection control measures.
In this role at MAHC in Huntsville, you will guide the implementation of an Infection Prevention and Control Program while overseeing surveillance data and trends. You will perform assessments and collaborate with teams to promote effective practices across the organization. Education and reporting will be key components of this integral position.
Key Responsibilities:
• Implement and evaluate infection prevention strategies
• Track infection trends and provide risk assessments
• Develop educational training programs for staff
• Collaborate with teams to enhance infection practices
• Report on infection prevention outcomes and compliance
Requirements:
• College of Nurses of Ontario registration required
• Minimum 2 years in infection control experience
• Preferred certification in Infection Prevention and Control
• In-depth knowledge of infection control principles
• Must be willing to relocate within 125km of the hospitals
