NHS Scotland is seeking a Band 7 Trainee Advanced Nurse Practitioner for Stracathro Regional Treatment Centre. This exciting position involves 36 hours a week of training focused on autonomous practice.
This role is a training opportunity that prepares you for advancement to an Advanced Nurse Practitioner within 18 months, including a minimum of six months for consolidating your learning. Candidates should possess strong clinical experience in an acute setting, showcasing both leadership skills and adaption to various levels of activity.
Key Responsibilities:
• Engage in supervised training to develop advanced nursing competencies
• Support the surgical team while adapting to unit demands
• Demonstrate collaborative communication with colleagues
• Complete all competencies required for advancement
• Participate in evening and weekend shifts as needed
Requirements:
• Must be registered on UK NMC Register, Sub-part 1 or 2
• Commitment to continual professional development
• Working towards or completed Masters Level 11 education
• Minimum extensive experience at Band 5 level
• Flexibility for scheduled shifts, including evenings and weekends
