Deliver resident-centered nursing care as a Registered Practical Nurse at Coleman Care Centre, with medication administration and treatment accuracy. This part-time temporary assignment covers evening shifts and 45 hours biweekly.
Schlegel Villages seeks a Registered Practical Nurse for Long Term Care in 2026. You will follow care plans, report resident changes, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams. The position requires current College of Nurses of Ontario registration, Heart Save Level CPR, and proficient communication and computer skills.
Key Responsibilities:- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Follow care plans and report resident well-being changes
- Update care plans and directions after physician rounds
- Advocate for resident participation in care decisions
- Support transfers, move-ins, and changing medical needs
- Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Existing Heart Save Level of CPR
- Proficient communication and computer skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage stress
- Vulnerable Sector Check and Tuberculosis screening before starting
