Registered Practical Nurse Long Term Care

Deliver person-centred nursing care as a Registered Practical Nurse at Mill Creek Care Centre in Barrie, working permanent full-time days and evenings on-site.
Reporting to the Assistant Director of Care or Nurse Manager, the RPN provides clinical leadership in long-term care. The position emphasizes assessments, care planning, medication safety, documentation, infection prevention, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Care preserves resident dignity, choice, and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate and oversee safe, compassionate nursing care
Complete assessments and adjust care plan interventions
Administer medications and treatments according to requirements
Communicate resident status changes and provide timely follow-up
Guide PSWs and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members
Requirements:
Current CNO General Class RPN registration in good standing
Current CPR/BLS certification
Strong documentation and communication skills
Working knowledge of interRAI assessment and care planning
Vulnerable Sector Check, TB testing, vaccines, and references
Bring clinical leadership, medication safety, and person-centred care to residents and families at Mill Creek Care Centre.
