Inpatient Surgical Registered Practical Nurse

Deliver inpatient surgical care as a Registered Practical Nurse at CGMH, using assessment and therapeutic nursing skills on 12-hour shifts. Permanent full-time work supports patients across South Georgian Bay.

As part of the Inpatient Surgical team, you will provide care within an interprofessional environment. The position focuses on assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care. Supportive, therapeutic, palliative, and rehabilitative approaches help patients reach their optimal health level.

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
• Apply supportive and therapeutic approaches during patient care
• Use palliative and rehabilitative approaches when appropriate
• Provide care and support to patients and families
• Coordinate safe, high-quality care with interprofessional colleagues

• Registration with the College of Nurses as an RPN
• Coronary Care 1 certification preferred
• One year of applicable nursing experience preferred
• Experience using Meditech Expanse preferred
• Commitment to CGMH values in daily practice
