Operating Room Registered Nurse

Bring peri-operative nursing expertise to Georgian Bay General Hospital in Midland, Ontario, providing direct patient care through clinical judgment and technical skill.

This permanent part-time Registered Nurse position supports Operating Room care  RN works collaboratively within the healthcare team, applying theoretical knowledge, OR experience, and critical thinking in the peri-operative setting. Care follows the College of Nurses of Ontario’s three-factor framework.

• Provide direct patient care in the Operating Room
• Apply peri-operative theoretical knowledge and technical skills
• Use the three-factor framework in care decisions
• Consult and collaborate with healthcare providers
• Support positive patient outcomes through problem solving

• Current College of Nurses of Ontario registration in good standing
• Current B.C.L.S., ACLS, and PALS certifications
• OR certification and current Operating Room experience
• Excellent clinical, decision-making, and critical-thinking skills
• Proficiency with IV starts and phlebotomy

Use Operating Room experience, peri-operative knowledge, and collaborative nursing judgment to deliver direct care at GBGH.
