Analyst, Quality Assurance - QA​/QC, Quality Technician​/ Inspector

Job Summary

The Analyst prepares samples and measures specifications using prescribed lab equipment for each product. Analyzes samples by following established procedures in order to determine sample condition and specifications. Records data and measurements. Conducts database searches, identifies selections, makes report comments, and generates validation reports based on correct specifications. Maintains optimal efficiency and quality standards.

• Measures, evaluates, and analyzes all sample specifications, database selections, websites, and library samples to ensure accuracy in determining like, kind & quality selections or matches.
• Operates and utilizes lab equipment/tools as required, following current lab procedures.
• Documents and verifies all unusual specifications, poor sample conditions, and any aspects of individual samples that do not comply with industry norms by placing internal notes and report comments in ITEL software.
• Communicates with manufacturers and distributors as required by specific products.
• Generates a validation report containing findings of the analysis and product recommendations.
• Files and stores samples according to set procedures.
• Assists in “Disaster Recovery” implementation.
• Assists other departments as needed or directed.

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least two (2) years of job-related experience preferred in the flooring, siding, or roofing industries.
• Must be detail-oriented and have the ability to evaluate mathematical data and arrive at a decision.
• Ability to operate light industrial machinery, measuring devices (ie. microscopes, calipers, vision systems, spectrometers, etc.), and a variety of general tools.
• Ability to effectively balance multiple tasks

• Some college coursework
